Art and Design Expo
Art and Design Expo at FAB25
Location: Křižík Pavilion C, Prague
The Art and Design Expo at FAB25 brings together pioneering works at the intersection of art, science, and open technology. Set within Prague's historic Křižík Pavilion C, the expo offers a multi-dimensional exploration of how artistic practices can critically engage with—and humanize—emerging technologies. Through immersive installations, experimental design, and speculative materiality, the exhibition demonstrates the transformative power of art as a research method, educational tool, and cultural force.
SIGNAL EXHIBITIONS
Presented in collaboration with PrusaLab and Signal Creative, this selection of installations highlights the power of immersive media to translate digital abstraction into tangible, emotional experience:
Audire Fluctus
A meditative sonic landscape generated from fluid dynamics, transforming invisible motion into immersive audio-visual environments.

Reflexe
A perceptual experiment in feedback and reflection, inviting audiences to become part of a shifting audiovisual system that re-echoes their own movements.

Nexus (Irideus Bulla)
A sensitive, bio-interactive installation that visualizes bodily presence and connection, creating a living interface between participants and light.
More info
These works underscore how data, light, and sound can be choreographed into visceral experiences—expanding the language of art in the age of computation and real-time systems.
FABRICADEMY EXHIBITION
The Fabricademy Student Showcase features the latest works from a global network of makers, researchers, and designers engaged in textile innovation, biomaterial development, and computational design. Spanning wearable technologies, regenerative materials, and speculative clothing systems, the projects challenge dominant models of production and sustainability.
This exhibition is a window into how distributed fabrication and open-source methodologies can empower local innovation while fostering systemic, circular approaches to fashion and material culture.
QUANTUM INSTALLATIONS
As quantum technologies begin to shape the next frontier of computing and sensing, artists are increasingly engaging with their philosophical, poetic, and ethical dimensions. This section features two standout installations:
Quantum Jungle
by WobblyLabs translates quantum randomness into an interactive environment of sound, light, and movement, offering a hands-on way to experience quantum unpredictability.

These works present quantum principles not as abstract science, but as deeply relatable—through artistic strategies that echo themes of interconnectedness, probability, and perception.
SPECIAL PERFORMANCE: Dear Quantum by Edy Fung
Though not part of the main expo, "Dear Quantum", a live performance by artist Edy Fung, will take place during the FAB25 Welcome Party. This poetic and sensorial piece addresses quantum theory as a metaphor for emotional entanglement and speculative communication across time and space.
Combining spoken word, live electronics, and visual media, Fung constructs a performative letter to an unknowable "other"—weaving together scientific speculation and existential reflection. "Dear Quantum" extends the thematic reach of the expo, offering a performative and intimate lens on the same phenomena explored in the installations: uncertainty, superposition, and relationality.

WHY IT MATTERS
At a time when technology shapes every aspect of life, the Art and Design Expo asserts the crucial role of art in asking not just what technologies can do, but what they mean. From quantum computation to digital fabrication, from sensory design to biotextiles, this exhibition frames art as a medium of civic imagination and systems-level thinking.
It reflects the foundational values of the Fab community: openness, collaboration, interdisciplinarity, and responsible innovation. Each work, whether through interaction, embodiment, or speculation, challenges us to think critically and feel deeply about the worlds we are building—and how we might build better ones.
